On My Own Community Services (OMOCS), a non-profit organization, empowers adults with disabilities by providing inclusive vocational services and job placement support.
As a Vocational Specialist, you'll:
- Coach clients in employment, education, certifications, or volunteerism.
- Develop personalized job opportunities aligned with client goals.
- Advocate for inclusive, person-centered workforce participation.
- Spend 90% of your time supporting clients in community settings.
- Maintain detailed records and collaborate with employers and advocates.
What You’ll Bring:
- Passion for working with individuals with disabilities (experience preferred).
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid CA driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is a plus.
