The County of Placer (“County”) Job Network (“Placer Job Network”) only acts as a free-of-charge job posting platform. County explicitly makes no representations, warranties, guarantees or other promises (either express or implied) about job listings or the accuracy of the information provided or posted by any employer on the Placer Job Network. The County provides this information on an "as is" basis. County does not screen Placer Job Network job applicants for qualifications or work authorization. County does not endorse, recommend, or otherwise support any potential employers or employees, and a posting does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or support by County. County does not guarantee the validity or existence of any job vacancy submitted to the Placer Job Network. All hiring, scheduling and compensation for job postings are handled directly between the job applicant and the employer. County does not guarantee a job placement for anyone using the Placer Job Network, nor does County guarantee that an employer will fill a vacancy by using the Placer Job Network. User Due Diligence

Employers and job applicants are urged to perform due diligence when offering, applying for, or accepting private employment. Employers and job applicants are encouraged to request references or any other information needed to perform the necessary due diligence, establish qualifications, credentials and overall fit between the employer and the job applicant.

Intellectual Property

Any employer who posts a job opening and uses a name, logo, trademark, copyright or other intellectual property (collectively, the “Intellectual Property”) represents and warrants that the employer has the requisite legal authority and permission to use such Intellectual Property, both in connection with the Placer Job Network and otherwise, and expressly agrees to allow County to use the Intellectual Property for purposes of posting and promoting the job opening on the Placer Job Network.

Disclaimer of Third-Party Site Links

This site contains links to third-party sites. County is not responsible for the contents of third-party sites linked on the Placer Job Network. County has not reviewed materials or information posted at websites linked or linking to this site, and therefore, County disclaims any responsibility for the contents of such sites. As a user of the Placer Job Network, you specifically acknowledge that the County and its contributors are not liable for any defamatory, offensive, or illegal conduct of other users, links, or third parties and that the risk of injury from all third-party site content mentioned here rests entirely with you, the user.

Links from the Placer Job Network to a third-party website should not be interpreted as a form of endorsement or recommendation for the products or services offered on the third-party site. Hold Harmless, Indemnification and Limitation of Liability

Any user of the Placer Job Network understands and agrees that the user is obligated to protect, defend, indemnify, and hold County, its Board of Supervisors, affiliates, employees and other personnel free and harmless from any and all losses, claims, liens, demands, and causes of action of every kind and character including, but not limited to, the amounts of judgments, penalties, interest, court costs, legal fees, and all other expenses incurred by County arising in favor of any party, including claims, liens, debts, personal injuries, death, or damages to property (including employees or property of the County) and without limitation by enumeration, all other claims or demands of every character occurring or in any way incident to, in connection with or arising directly or indirectly out of any use by the user of the Placer Job Network.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL COUNTY BE LIABLE TO ANY USER OR ANY THIRD PARTY ON ACCOUNT OF THAT USER'S USE OF THE PLACER JOB NETWORK. COUNTY MAKES NO WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WITH RESPECT TO THE PLACER JOB NETWORK AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL SUCH WARRANTIES. IN NO EVENT SHALL COUNTY BE LIABLE TO ANY USER OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF USE, DATA OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH THE USE OR PERFORMANCE OF THE PLACER JOB NETWORK, THE DELAY OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLACER JOB NETWORK, THE PROVISION OF OR FAILURE TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO THE PLACER JOB NETWORK, OR THE CONTENT CONTAINED WITHIN THE PLACER JOB NETWORK, REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL OR EQUITABLE THEORY (CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE) UPON WHICH THE CLAIM IS BASED, AND EVEN IF COUNTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. 

Changes to Placer Job Network

At County’s sole discretion, County may revise, amend, modify or change the terms of this Disclaimer page any time by updating the text of this page, and the user will be bound by any such revision, modification, amendment or change from that time.  Each user should therefore visit this page periodically to review the terms of this Disclaimer. Each user’s continued access, usage, posting or browsing of the Placer Job Network following the posting of any revision, modification, amendment or change to this Disclaimer means that the user accepts such revisions, modifications, amendments and/or changes. If the user does not agree with any revision, modification, amendment or change to this Disclaimer, the user should notify County in writing immediately and immediately discontinue their access, usage, posting and browsing of the Placer Job Network.

Choice of Law

Information in this disclaimer is governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute arising from the use of information or services provided on the Placer Job Network will be governed by the laws of the State of California.
